The David Orlowsky Trio is the 2008 ECHO Classical Prizewinner in the category “Classical
without Boundaries.” The musicians received this award for their highly-calibred and
innovative CD-debut Noema, which appeared on SONY CLASSICAL in 2007.
David Orlowsky counts among the most extraordinary clarinettists of his generation.
Together with bassist and composer Florian Dohrmann, he founded the David Orlowsky Trio
in 1997, that now also features Jens-Uwe Popp on the guitar. The distinctive sound of the
Ensemble is especially influenced by the compositions of Orlowsky and Dohrmann.
